Questions
Is transparency kept?
Yes. Transparent and see-through areas stay exactly that way in the WebP.
Is it lossless?
The WebP is compressed at the quality you choose, which keeps it small. At 90 or above, differences are very hard to see even in graphics.
When should I keep PNG?
For files you will edit again, or for software that does not open WebP.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your own browser, on your device. Your images are never sent to a server, and we never see them.
