Terms of use

These terms are for anyone who uses shrinkal.com. We have kept them short and plain. By using the site, you agree to them.

The service

Shrinkal offers free tools for images and PDFs. There is no account, no sign-up and no payment. The tools run in your own browser, as described on how Shrinkal works.

Your files

Your files stay yours. They are processed on your device and never sent to us, so we do not receive, store or claim any rights in them. Only use files you have the right to use, and keep your originals: Shrinkal makes new files and never changes the ones on your device, but a result may be smaller, cropped or of lower quality than what you started with.

Fair use

Please don't use Shrinkal to break the law or anyone's rights, and don't:

  • try to disrupt, overload or break into the site or the servers behind it;
  • copy the site as a whole, or present it or its results as your own service;
  • use the Shrinkal name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

No guarantees

We work hard to make every tool do what it says, and each one tells you honestly when it could not — for example, when a file could not be made small enough. Still, the site is provided free and “as is”: we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that a result will be accepted by a particular website, portal or form. Check your results before you rely on them.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using, or not being able to use, Shrinkal — such as a lost file, a missed deadline or a rejected upload. Nothing in these terms limits anything that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

Open-source software

Shrinkal includes open-source software, which is covered by its own licences. They are listed in the open-source notices.

Privacy

What we collect, and what we never collect, is on the privacy page.

Changes

We may change the tools, or these terms. When the terms change, the date at the top changes too; using the site after that means you accept the new terms.
