Questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Your images are processed by your own browser, on your device. They are never sent to a server, and we never see them.

Which formats can I compress?

JPG, PNG and WebP. Each image keeps its format. HEIC photos from iPhones are not supported yet — on your iPhone, choose a JPG export or set Camera → Formats to "Most Compatible".

Will my images look worse?

Shrinkal uses a quality setting that keeps photos looking good while cutting file size. You can compare and adjust it before you download. If an image cannot be made smaller, you get the original back.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no sign-up and no ads.
