Questions

Why is my photo sideways?

Cameras often store a photo sideways with a note saying which way is up, and some apps ignore that note. Shrinkal turns the photo the right way up first, then applies your rotation, so the result looks the same everywhere.

Can I rotate many images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like; the same rotation and flip are applied to all of them, and you can download them as a ZIP.

What is the difference between rotating and flipping?

Rotating turns the image around its centre. Flipping mirrors it: horizontally swaps left and right (like a mirror), vertically turns it upside down without rotating.

Does rotating reduce quality?

The pixels are only moved, never blended. JPG and WebP files are saved again at quality 90, so there is no visible loss; PNG stays lossless. Each image keeps its format.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Your images are rotated by your own browser, on your device. They are never sent to a server, and we never see them.
